| Nick has also worked as a freelance illustrator, for a wide variety of clients. His projects have ranged from illustrating a 130-page music textbook to running cartoon workshops in a Primary School. |
Other Interests
| Jazz |
Nick plays several instruments to a high standard, and reached the regional finals of the Jazz Musician of the Year competition in 1997 and 1999. He has worked in many musical situtations from big bands to small ensembles, supporting musicians such as Jools Holland, Art Garfunkel, Ronnie Scott’s rhythm section and Bobby Wellins. He has produced three original CDs, acting as composer and arranger as well as performer. |

Nick's compositions include a full requiem mass for choir and orchestra as well as shorter sacred works. He has played professionally for numerous theatrical shows on guitar, bass, banjo, ukelele, mandolin and violin. He has worked as a session musician in a London studio. |

Nick enjoys abstract painting in acrylics and has made detailed studies of colour theory and art history. His main influences include Hans Hoffmann, Howard Hodgkin, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Jackson Pollock and Willem De Kooning. |
